Alumina and zirconia grinding ceramic balls for mill

As a high efficiency fine grinding equipment, ball mill has been widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry and other industrial fields. By adopting the alumina ceramic balls, it can improve the ore dissociation and reduce the over grinding. At the same time, it can remove impurities on the mineral surface and effectively improve the beneficiation index. However, as the grinding medium, the steel ball of the ball mill is easy to produce the phenomenon of material over grinding. Impurity iron produced by steel ball wear enters the process, which covers the ore surface, causing reagent consumption and increasing production costs. Therefore, it is important to find a new grinding medium to replace the steel ball, so as to reduce the impurity iron entering the leaching process to reduce the impurities inprocess and the production cost.

Alumina ceramics have good acid and alkali resistance, wear resistance and other properties. They can adapt to many harsh working conditions that metal and non-metal cannot apply. As an application of engineering ceramics, alumina ceramics are widely used in ball mill, vertical spiral stirring mill and other fine grinding equipment.

High alumina ball -- alumina ceramic grinding ball -- brief introduction

High alumina ball is also known as alumina ceramic ball. Its basic raw material is α alumina power. The wear-resistant ceramic product forms by rolling or pressing and is sintered sintered at 1600 ℃.

Application areas

Pulp feeding of metal ores (gold, silver, copper, iron, lead, etc.) concentrator and transportation of various concentrates, tailings and various process materials

Pulp feeding of non-metallic ore (such as phosphate ore) concentrator and transportation of various concentrates, tailings and various process materials;

Transportation of various abrasive slurry in the production process of titanium dioxide, iron oxide, phosphate fertilizer and potassium fertilizer

Characteristics of alumina ceramic balls

1) High hardness: Mohs hardness of alumina ceramics is 9, while Mohs hardness of diamond is 10. it is only 1 grade lower than that of diamond.

2) Excellent wear-resistant performance and slow consumption

3) Excellent corrosion-resistant performance: aluminum oxide is inert, which does not react with acid and alkai. It can avoid the corrosion consumption under acidic conditions.

4) High strength and low ball crushing rate: the appearance is not easy to be out of round after use.

5) The density of high aluminum ball is more than 3.6g/cm3, which is half of that of steel ball. Under the working condition of fine grinding, it can reduce over grinding and equipment wear, equipment noise and power consumption.

It is non-toxic and harmless. It complies with the requirements of EU ROHS.
