Ore feeder is the ore feeding equipment that loads and unloads ore to ore transport machinery or ore storage device. The types of ore feeders commonly used in concentrators include: plate feeder, trough feeder, chain feeder, swing feeder, disk feeder, belt feeder, drum feeder, electromagnetic vibration feeder, vibrating ore drawing machine, etc. Feeders are mainly used in metallurgy, mining, chemical industry, construction, mineral processing, coal and other industries.
Plate feeder is composed of chain plate, idler, chain wheel, drive device, tensioning device, frame, etc. It can be divided into three types, which are heavy type, medium type and light type.

Plate feeder is suitable for large materials with high mud and water content. Compared with other feeding and discharging equipment, its structure is more complex. In addition, the equipment is heavy and expensive.
Belt feeder is composed of belt, idler, head wheel, tail wheel, transmission device, tensioning device, support, etc. It is a kind of feeding equipment with larger bearing capacity, shorter length and more economical, and is suitable for discharging materials with particle size below 350mm. The main disadvantage is that large pieces of materials often tear the tape in use. The belt speed is generally below 0.3m/s; When there is a discharge valve to control the ore bin discharge, the belt speed can be increased to 1.0m/s.
Swing feeder is composed of swing jaw, crank connecting rod, drive device, base, etc. It is generally installed on the ore bin discharge port. It is mostly used as the feeding equipment of the ball mill ore collecting belt conveyor. The appropriate feed size of the swing feeder is 30~0mm; It is not suitable for sticky materials.
Electromagnetic vibration feeder is composed of tank, electromagnetic vibrator and suspender. The utility model has the advantages of simple structure, convenient operation, no lubrication, small power consumption and even feeding. However, it is not suitable for powder materials with high viscosity and high moisture content. It is generally used for feeding and discharging of bulk materials with particle size below 500mm.
Motor vibrating feeder is composed of tank, motor vibrator and suspender. It has the similar operating conditions, advantages and disadvantages with electromagnetic vibration feeder. However, it has low level noise.
Disc feeder is composed of discharge disc, base, drive device, etc. There are four types: seat type, hanging type, open type and closed type. It is suitable for not only discharge of bulk materials below 20mm, but also materials with slightly high moisture and high viscosity. It is mainly used for feeding the ore collecting belt conveyor under the grinding bin.
Chute feeder can be erected on the ground or hoisted on the ore bin discharge opening. The bottom plate of the groove moves back and forth. The stroke is 20-60 times/min and the stroke is 20-200mm. The stroke can be properly adjusted by the eccentric wheel of the driving device, and the eccentricity is half of the stroke. According to the production practice of some concentrators, the eccentricity of cohesive ore should not be less than 30mm. The tank width of the trough feeder is about 2-2.5 times of the maximum particle size of the feed. The largest trough feeder can meet the requirements of feeding iron ore with particle size less than 500mm. The most commonly selected specification is 980 * 1240 trough feeder. The feeding granularity is 350-0mm, which is suitable for the feeding equipment of 400 * 600 jaw crusher.
